Sumunar Gamelan and Dance Ensemble performed in the Antonnello Hall at MacPhail Center for Music on February 21 at 1 PM as part of MacPhail's International Series. The performance was free and open to the public.

The program will feature time-tested traditional pieces as well as lively, new compositions, with performances by both the adult and youth ensembles and two examples of Indonesian classical dance.
Basic principles of gamelan musical structure will be explained, your questions will be addressed, and after the program you will be offered the opportunity for hands-on acquaintance with the gamelan instruments. Come and enjoy the sound and sight of gamelan in a comfortable, family setting.
