Lake Harriet Band Shell

In a first for Sumunar, the group was invited to present a concert at the beautiful Lake Harriet Bandshell in Minneapolis on June 20, 2009. The Kecil and Besar youth groups, the adult gamelan performers, and the dance troup all participated. A large and appreciative audience attended the concert. It was an excellent opportunity to reach out to the Twin Cities community and to expose people who had never heard of gamelan music to Indonesian art and culture.
