On Saturday, March 26, 2011, Sumunar Indonesian Music and Dance Ensemble, together with PERMIAS (the Indonesian Student Association), and the Minnesota Indonesia Society, with support from the Asia Pacific Endowment, the Minnesota Student Association, the Asian-American Student Union, GAPSA, and MISA, presented an Indonesian Arts and Cultural Festival. Performances included an East Javanese Dance, Indonesian Songs by members of the Indonesian Community and the Indonesian Pengajian (Faith Group), a shadow puppet show (by Dalang Joko Sutrisno), the Sumunar Youth Gamelan Ensemble, and BAWANG PUTHI ~A Javanese Cinderella Story featuring Ratna Sari Dance, A West Sumatra Wedding, & Traditional Indonesian Dinner. There were many booths presenting Indonesian arts and crafts.
